I thought we should have a January sale to join in with the rest of the country. This is an opportunity to get a 7 page website that will load very quickly (which google loves) and is cross platform friendly. You can have a home, contact page, about and three content pages. This offer only runs in January, a free consultation is included (this is starting to sound a bit to good) o well.

Google + or Google Plus ? Watch out Facebook here comes google!

Social media has exploded with Facebook and twitter but I have been in this business a long time and have not been that impressed with the facebook business model. Now google is here with google + or google plus – I am now interested. I think they have been watching and learning like they did with the search engine. They watched yahoo and now they have been watching facebook make allot of mistakes. I am 100% behind google with there new project google +. I think this will be the start of what social media should be. They are looking at how we all interact with each other and producing a tool we can use to do this easily. Simply writing on facebook or twitter ” I have just had lunch” is no good. Take a look at the video below and leave comments if you wish.

Linked In – Facebook – Twitter ? Which one is for me?

Choosing the right social network to join to grow your business online is always a challenge. Ask yourself the question. Where are my customers and what do they use. If you are a B2B company then Linked In is worth joining. If you are selling to the public then Facebook and twitter may be the way to go. One thing to remember is they all take time, and time is money. What the video below and then come and find me on Linked In.

Search Engine Optimisation can be a waist of time and money!

This may sound strange for me to tell you this as I am an SEO consultant but it true. “On its own SEO is a waist of time and money”. The whole process of good SEO – web design and marketing online are the keys to success on the internet. The number of poor websites that are ranked highly makes me want to cry, or the great websites that will never be ranked by google also makes me sad. The key to success is a good website that has the right visitors who will then become your customers.

How do you get good results from websites?

How do you make money from websites?

I am asked this allot and its simple when you know how!

If you are going to go and buy a brand new car would you buy it from a dealer in an old wooden shack on a car park just outside heathrow airport, or would you go to an established main dealer with a nice new showroom who looks like he knows exactly what he is doing?

1. You need a good professional looking website that makes your visitors confident you can deliver what they want and need. Your website needs to be as sticky as super glue as you do not want them to leave.

2. You need to target your customers and only focus on people that are relevant to your business and want your product or service. Forget about everyone else just focus on your target market.

If the showroom is on the main road going into a city with allot of passing traffic seeing your nice new show room then they will probably stop and take a look.

If the cars are on a car park in the middle of know where  how will your customers find you in the first place.

Internet Marketing is not different to the traditional business and marketing. There is no magic bullet that will make you a million (Everyone that makes money using the internet has a goal in mind and a system in place). You first need the right customers who will want your exact product. They need to type in the exact keywords that will get them the product they want. You then need them to come straight to the right page on your website that matches their exact search term. When they reach the page they need to be impressed with your branding and feel instant confidence with your proposal and product. Your website needs to be ‘sticky’ like super glue as you do not want them to leave until you have proved you are the business they can trust.

If you miss out any part of the system you will fail to make a sale and probably waist time and money. We have a system that works and have eight years of results to prove it. if you would like a FREE consultation to help you start your online business please contact Richard Barley 01905820545 web designer in worcester

Social Media marketing – What is it?

There has been a buzz around social media for the past 12 months and now it is time for the u.k to embrace social media marketing. I keep an eye on the U.S.A to see what will be the next stage in internet marketing. About two years ago social media marketing and advertising was not even considered relevant in any way, but times have changed. Facebook is getting bigger all the time and now twitter has become very popular. The best advice I can give you with social media marketing is find out what your customer base use first. If you are selling business to business will the head buyer really be on facebook ?????? Social media can also waist allot of your time and should only be used if the return on investment is going to be high. We can give you some direction with social media marketing that could save you allot of your valuable time and money. Amazing results can happen but it needs to be approached with caution. You could end up with 3000 fans of your business with no one buying anything, just sending you messages that waist your time. Social media is a great tool it the right hands – we can help.

Local SEO techniques using google places

Local SEO

Google have made big changes over the past 18 months and you can now see the future is Local SEO. The internet has always been advertised as a world wide network that connects us all together, but I think the future of the internet and google SEO will be local. When someone wants a particular service or product they are more likely to use local suppliers. A local SEO campaign allows you to focus on a small area of the u.k to get better results quicker. An optimised google places advert is one of the most important aspects of local SEO along with the relevant keywords and text on your main website. Search engines want to know where your business is in the country, who owns it, what service you provide and how relevant you are in the market place. We have had great success with local SEO and can provide great results for plumbers, electricians,  builders, carpenters, roofers, shops, window cleaners, window installers, painter and decorators and many other businesses that are searched for locally with the city or name in the search term e.g “carpenters worcester” or ” window cleaners worcester”.

What is SEO ? Search engine optimisation

Search engine optimisation is a process of making your website liked by search engines. Search engines such as google and yahoo are used by most people now who will make a random search for a service or product they require. Try typing into google wedding photographer worcestershire. You should see a website on the first page called www.pureprints.com. This website has been optimised for the key phrase wedding photographer worcestershire. There is allot of confusion over search engine optimisation with some people thinking that SEO experts have a way of telling google what to do. The first thing to remember is no one tells google what to do and the second is cheating will work in the short term but not in the long term. What do google want? I think it is quite simple google have always said they want the best and most relevant results for any search query with websites that have interesting content that is relevant. So why am i telling you this if I want to sell you our search engine optimisation services? I believe that SEO has changed so much over the past few years it will be almost irrelevant over the next ten years. This may seem a sweeping statement that 99% of SEO experts will disagree with, but content is king and will become the most important factor in search engine optimisation. So what can we do for your business? We take a look at the market you operate in and INTERNET MARKET you operate in and work out the best route to produce as many new customers as we can for you. This may involve search engine optimisation or social media or can sometimes mean a simple paper based advert in a magazine with your website address. There is no quick fix but we aim to have new customers coming through your door within six months as a result of our techniques.
